Gary is...well, normal. He likes boredom, like things being the way they usually are without too much fuss, likes to know where his next check comes from, where his next meal is, and will happy live like this for the rest of his life unless something stands in the way. He's a bit of a rascal and tends to use women like tissues, but he's not really a bad sort. He grew up in London, works in Corporate Accounts at his office, tends to be something of a smart ass, and fully admits that he's not above going after the office bicycle for a ride or two. Or three. He's a flirt, a womanizer, and often cheats on girls he dates if he thinks he can get away with it, but he's a loyal enough friend when it comes right down to it and if push came to shove, would almost certainly do the right thing. Almost. Almost certainly.

Somewhat sarcastic, he tends to take things in stride, but he speaks his mind to whoever's willing to listen (especially to his friends) and he's pretty firm on what he likes, what he doesn't like, and rather stubborn about it as well. Changing his opinion is difficult, but it can be done.

His best friend is, or was, Richard Mayhew, though he hasn't seen him for two years and only sort of remembers him, sadly enough. He misses him in the only way possible, considering the situation, in that he realizes there's a hole in his life where something used to be but he's not quite sure what.

What the hell is he doing at Milliways? Who the bloody hell knows? But one wonders what he'll make of a place that makes London Below seem normal...
